Enhance your lips
The Paris lip procedure is used to define the border of the upper lip and highlight the vertical ridges between the lips and the nose.
Hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane (also used to smooth out facial lines and wrinkles) injected around the lips instantly create an enhanced natural look. Even without lipstick your lips will appear more defined.
We all want to have lovely bee stung lips but may be unsure about lip enhancement after seeing celebrities in magazines sporting awful ‘trout pouts.’
The lips are a very sensitive area of the face and treating this area requires a skilful practitioner to achieve the best results. So it is reassuring to know that all of our practitioners have been carefully trained by surgeons from the New Zealand Institute of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery and are all experts in dermal filler and Botox® treatment injections.
Add volume to replace youthful fullness and plump-up thinning lips. Create well-defined lip borders and create a stronger Cupid’s Bow on the upper lip. Reduce ‘smoker’s lines’ and frown lines around the mouth which can make you look tired or unhappy.
Juverderm and Restylane
Juvederm & Restylane are smooth injectable gels made from non-animal sourced stabilised hyaluronic acid, which is a natural complex sugar that is identical to that found in the supporting tissue of your skin.
What should I expect from a lip enhancement procedure?
You may experience some minor discomfort during lip procedures, but the level of discomfort does vary from person to person. To minimise discomfort lip enhancement procedures using Restylane are performed under local anaesthetic using a nerve block cream applied to the treatment area.
Lip treatment with Juvederm does not require a separate anaesthetic as it contains an anaesthetic called Lidocaine which increases comfort during the procedure.
Following treatment, you may experience some swelling of the lips, as the lips are manipulated during the procedure to achieve the ideal shape. This temporary increases will reduce within one week.
